Scart - Hdmi - Converter - Dapteri

Scart-HDMI adapter supporting PAL, NTSC3.58., NTSC4.43, SECAM, PAL/M, PAL/N standard TV format. It converts analogue Scart signals into digital HDMI signals so that devices with a Scart connection, such as a set-top box or a video or DVD player, can be connected to an HDMI display, HDTV or projector.

The converter is easy to use by connecting the Scart cable to the Scart port of the converter and the HDMI cable to the HDMI output. The HDMI output can be selected from 1080p (60 Hz) or 720p.

Note: This adapter converts from Scart to HDMI, not the other way around (you need an HDMI to Scart converter!).

SCART to HDMI means from analog to digital.

Transferring signals from SCART to HDMI - can you do it? The two AV interfaces are not compatible. A digital interface like HDMI cannot handle analogue SCART video and audio signals. However, the problems between analogue and digital technology can be solved: a SSCART to HDMI converter!

While HDMI is the most common standard today, you may want to connect an old device to a modern TV - a DVD player may have a certain value to its owner, or you may want to show old VHS tapes on a VCR, or you may be nostalgic enough to connect a first-generation PlayStation to a flat-screen TV. Since analogue and digital transmission are not compatible, a mechanical adapter is not enough to convert the transmission from SCART to HDMI. Instead, you need a proper converter that first converts the player's analogue signal into digital data.

The main advantage of the SCART interface is that it supports various analogue transmission paths, such as composite video. However, SCART cannot handle digital transmission methods. The maximum picture resolution that SCART can transmit also seems obsolete in the UHD (Ultra HD) era: this is especially true for the PAL standard 720 x 576 pixels. HDMI now appears to have largely superseded SCART. This applies to playback devices such as DVD and Blue-ray players, as well as modern LED TVs.

The digital Scart converter scales the analogue signal to 1080 pixels, equivalent to Full HD quality. Another advantage is that in most cases it can even filter the audio data from the SCART signal and feed it separately via a connector or coaxial cable. It is therefore possible to connect the SCART device directly to a modern hi-fi system or AV receiver.
